Confidentiality & Privacy

Disclaimer on Letting Things Go

Gently Sorted provides advice and encouragement in the decluttering and organising process. Gently Sorted can accept no responsibility for actions of the client during the time we spend together. We will discuss letting things go to create more space and live a more clutter free life but Gently Sorted will never make you get rid of things you do not want to. Ultimately, it is the clients decision to let go of items and Gently Sorted accepts no responsibility for the actions the client takes at the time of consultation, engagement in the organising or decluttering process, or at any subsequent or future date.

Selling Items

Gently Sorted are not valuers or second hand sellers - if there is something you want to let go of by selling, we recommend clients seek a professional valuation.

Second hand selling sites like eBay, Vinted and Facebook Marketplace are also good places to sell on pre-loved items. If there are a lot of items to let go, the client may consider having a carboot sale. Gently Sorted does not sell items on behalf of clients.

Donating Items

Gently Sorted will happily take one box of donatable items (good condition, quality) to a charity shop. If there is more than one box of items, it will be your responsibility.

Disposing of Items

Gently Sorted will remove one box of donatable items to a charity shop. Any waste beyond this amount will be your responsibility to dispose of accordingly.

I understand that I am responsible for disposing of any waste that is not taken away by Gently Sorted.

Accidental Damage or Loss

Gently Sorted aim to handle all items with care and respect. In the case of accidental damage or loss, howsoever caused, the client acknowledges that Gently Sorted will not be held liable for losses or damage.

Gently Sorted holds public liability insurance with an indemnity of £1,000,000

Limits

We don’t provide a cleaning or removal service. Large or heavy items that need moving/removing may require a third party to help. We are able to find and book removal companies, odd job men and cleaning services that can assist in the process for an additional charge. If access to your home or premises is restricted or unsafe, Gently Sorted reserve the right to charge for loss of time and expenses incurred.

Damage

Decluttering can be physically and emotionally draining and we recommend both you and Gently Sorted have some breaks. We will declutter at your pace whilst guiding you with our expertise and encouragment. A 30 minute break is required for any sessions lasting over 5 hours.

Payment

A £25 non-refundable deposit is required on booking your time and date to ensure booking is reserved.

Full payment is required at the end of the session. You will receive an invoice, which can be paid using cash or bank transfer.

Interest at 10% per month will be charged on unpaid balance 21 days after invoice.
